These will make you smile even if you're coming down with a cold. (like me)

Now I did not come up with these, people on howrse had it on their presentations, so I put it on mine, and decided to share it on my blog :).

Ways to have fun:

1. Sit in a parked car with sunglasses on, point a hairdryer at people, and see if they slow down.
2. Page yourself over the intercom, don't disguise your voice.
3. Every time someone asks you something, say, "Do you want fries with that?"
4. Put a paper bin on your desk and label it 'in'
5. Order diet water when you go out to eat with a straight face.
6. Specify that your drive thru order is to-go.
7. Walk around crouched down with your tongue out.
8. Be like the Romans: don't use any punctuation
9. Sing along at the opera.
10. Many days in advance, tell your friends you can't go to their parties cause you 'aren't in the mood'
11. Have your friends email you by using your wrestling name, rock bottom.
12. When money comes out of the ATM, scream, "I won! I won!"
13. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot screaming, "Run for your lives! They're loose!
14. Copy this onto your page and make someone else smile :)

Of course, a few of these I would never attempt, like singing along at the opera, (yikes) but the first one seems actually pretty fun LOL.

Some more nice Barn photos

It's been a while since I've posted barn photos on here that were actually taken be me. I just came back from riding, and while I was there I took some time to take these photos. The first and fourth photos are of Cloud, who is very friendly and seemed very interested me taken his picture. The third one is of Larry, and as you can see he's trying to find leftovers from lunch in his tire. The last one is of a bunch of horses out in the pasture, and the second and fourth ones, as we all know, are of Jewel. Hope you enjoyed them!

HOLLYWOOD HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!

No not really. We're not really going to Hollywood. Today my friends The Cornet Crazie, Super Gato, and myself did our tryouts for our school's talent show. Last year we did a comedy/dance in which I played myself, and The Cornet Crazie and Super Gato played teachers, and because I was bugging them they were late for a faculty meeting and then they did a dance to Womanizer by Brittany Spears while I spied on them LOL. This year I can't explain the whole plot, but it ends up all three of us are doing a dance along with our usual comedy. We're dressed up like gangsters, (except for me) and we dance to Tik Tok by Ke$ha. Though we don't find out whether we made it in or not only next Wednesday, we're pretty confident that we made it in for our second year :). If you're wondering why my post title is 'Hollywood here we come' is because it's one of out most famous lines. Wish us luck on making it in!

Need your ideas!

I have to make this quick because I have to get off the internet soon, but I'll explain. At the barn that I lease Jewel at in the indoor arena there are boards all around the walls that we are painted either by the horse camps or people that own/lease horses make a board dedicated to their horse. Well there's an extra one and my riding instructor asked if I wanted to paint that board for Jewel, now I have a few ideas for it so far:

  1. My mom would do a painting of Jewel inside a box and then my friends and I would decorate the outside with sparkles and glitter.
  2. All over the board would be photographs of Jewel and of Jewel and me.
  3. My mom would paint Jewel in a landscape and the sun would be setting in the background and instead of rays we would be little jewels above it.
  4. No pictures of her, just a pink and purple sparkly board that has her name in huge letters in the middle of it.

So those were the ideas that I had, and I'd appreciate if you'd tell me which one was your favorite out of all of them, or if you have a better idea don't hesitate to tell me. (Of course we won't do this until the weather gets warm again) but when we do do this I'll put plenty of pictures of it up!

'Happy' and Dirty cats

Ok...... She doesn't look too mad in this picture...

In this one she doesn't look happy with me at ALL...

Now she doesn't look AS mad...

And now she won't even look at me and the camera

Now we have my dirty cat!
He's not supposed to be on this recliner ESPECIALLY after rolling in the dirt

If you look closely you can see the color of his fur which is supposed to be white...

In this one you can see how dirty he is even better!

Ok yeah his white fur isn't even white LOL

So those were typical pictures of my cats in the morning, Pastel is mad because Moocow is sitting on the chair where she wants to be, and Moocow just came in and sits on my dad's recliner after rolling outside in the dirt :)

Possible horse job for this summer!

I know that this is really random (and far off) but I have to share this! There's a local camp not far from where I live that I used to go to when I was ages 7-11. Well, now I'm to old to be a camper but we still got the brochure for the camp, and apparently in the equestrian part of it they're looking for teenagers ages 13-16 to be a counselor in training! Only four people get to do it though, and we have to send it in on February 2nd and then they'll schedule an interview with me. (I don't know how well I'd do at an interview LOL.) Anyway, we talked to my riding instructor to ask about my level and if she thought I could do, and she said I'd be great and there was nothing that she needed to teach me to get ready for it! If I did get the 'job' it would be a 5-week session, and I'd still ride Jewel somedays after camp and on weekends. It would be a very horse filled summer! So just thought I'd share that, even though I won't have my interview for another month or so, I'm always looking ahead :)

About Me (finally)

I AM:
A teenage girl who would rather not be in school. On weekends and somedays after school I go to the barn and ride the horse I lease Jewel. She and I are best friends and I never get bored of seeing her. Our favorite thing to do together is go on trail rides and ride down to the beach in the summertime. When the weather is cold I still spend time with her only I do much more groundwork in the winter. I have been leasing her for several years now and hoping to keep on doing so for much longer. Other than riding horses you will often find me taking walks regularly and exploring nature. Also, after the barn, the
beautiful forest is my second favorite place. I feel very strongly about animal cruelty and do my best to help with it. I do my best to love my life and to live it to its very fullest with horses, friends, and nature.
SOMEDAY IN MY LIFE:
I hope to own my own horse and develop the closet bond I can with it. Another interest of mine is acting, and I hope to become and actress, but also at the same time be very close with horses and help animals in need. I also plan to move somewhere warm LOL.
I LIVE:
Well, literally, I live somewhere in the United States, specifically in my house (duh) at the barn and at school. I do live in the suburbs of a city but I happen to live on a hill and by the beach with woods in my backyard, so I'm away from the 'city' part of everything. My buddy Olive Tree says I have the best house in my town. As I said when I'm older I will live somewhere warm and close to woods and the countryside.
MY REAL LIFE FRIENDS:
Are The Cornet Crazie, Olive Tree, Bella, and Super Gato. They all have wonderful blogs as well.
I PLAY:
The clarinet, the piano (er, sort of) and I sing. In fact I sing quite a lot, mostly in the shower.
IN MY SPARE TIME:
Not counting riding horses, when I'm at home I like to lay around on my bed, listen to music, watch movies, take walks, and blog. In fact most of the time I spend on the computer is on blogger.
MY HORSE:
Is a middle-aged Clydesdale cross mare, with a bay coat, big eyes, and a long, cute forelock. When I first started working with her, we did not do well together at all and thought that she was the last horse in the world I'd ever be able to ride. But slowly our bond began to grow and soon we became emotionally attached to each other. I have been leasing her for several years, and over that time have gone through many changes in life, but I've always had my beautiful mare beside me. In the summer of '09 we went through a very difficult time when she had a terrible leg injury and we were worried that she would never recover. But I never left her side and now she's happy and healthy again, and my best friend.

Two Movie Reviews- Sherlock Holmes, & Inkheart

Last Friday night my mom and I weren't doing much, so I just suggested that we go out and see Sherlock Holmes. Now I had never read any of the stories, (I'm starting them now) but my mom has. It is rated PG-13, and like I said with Avatar, it could have been rated R, depending on how strongly you feel about violence. I say this because there is lots of fighting, not necessarily with swords, but lots of punching. Also, it shows someone getting hung, (twice) and there's a scene in a slaughterhouse, (don't worry the don't show any animals getting killed) but they do show pigs going through that gross slicing machine and I almost threw up on the the floor. When it first started it seemed that it was going to be very creepy, cause there was black magic and a villain who 'rose from the dead' and that there was going to be lots of cultural stuff in it, but in the end after Sherlock Holmes had been working on the case for a while, he discovered that Lord Blackwood wasn't using any magic, and he wasn't really killed in the first place. Very, very, good movie, lots of action, funny, and if you haven't already it makes you want to read the books. I highly recommend this movie.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Now for Inkheart. When I was ten I first read the book, and was never a big fan of it. I liked it, but I wasn't crazy about it. The movie, well...
What was good: It stayed much closer to the book than I had expected, and the characters were very well developed. Especially Dustfinger. Also the location in which it was filmed was almost exactly how I imagined when I read the book.
Things I didn't like: You know when you watch movies, you want to feel drawn into what you're watching, and you want to be, well, interested, I guess I can put it that way. I don't want to say that the movie was boring, but it never really got 'interesting' until the end when Meggie was reading from 'Inkheart'. Just overall not the best quality movie I've seen.
Since I'm sure most of you have read the book and probably seen the movie, I won't tell the plot.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
